Adrianna and Mike

Adrianna and Mike had a lovely wedding yesterday. There were under 20 guests, so I felt honored that my fancy camera could be my ticket in. Adrianna's dad manages a retreat center in Frederic, Wisconsin which made for a picture perfect wooded setting. The wedding was simple, beautiful, and intimate.

It's clear that these two lovebirds are nothing but happy to be together. Hearty congratulations to the adorable couple!

Amber + James

Amber and James got married at Central Lutheran Church in Minneapolis with a gorgeous reception to follow at one of my all time favorite spots, The Walker Art Center. I had never met Amber and James before the big day, but I quickly learned what a great couple they are. They were definitely meant for each other since James is from Canada, Amber is from Minnesota and they met in Mexico. Their relationship spans across the entire continent, I guess!

Congratulations, Amber and James. Thanks for letting me be a part of your day!

Matt + Elizabeth

Ever since their engagement shoot, I've been looking forward to Matt and Elizabeth's wedding. What a wonderful couple. I had a little bit of an extra tie to their wedding since Matt's mom was one of my English teachers in 8th grade. Yikes - I better make sure I'm careful with this blog entry! Of course, my mom was one of my English teachers, too, so I always have to be grammatically careful. I digress.

Matt and Elizabeth had a wonderful wedding in Northfield, MN. We took pictures on the St. Olaf College campus - beautiful! Their reception was at The Grand Event Center, a funky old theatre downtown. Very cool. I had a blast taking pictures throughout the day and wish Matt and Elizabeth the very best. Here's to the newest Mr. and Mrs. Christensen!

Jake and Michelle

Jake and Michelle had their actual wedding on a beach in Florida earlier this spring. Since Jake grew up in Minnesota, they had an additional reception at Mississippi Dunes in Cottage Grove that I got to be a part of. What fun! Although I had never met Jake and Michelle before this event, I had heard lots about both of them from Jake's mom. They are an adorable couple. Thanks for letting me be a part of round 2 of your reception!

Molly + Travis

Molly and Travis's wedding was a blast. They are an adorable couple and I thoroughly enjoyed spending the day with them. Their wedding and reception were in the south metro area, but we traveled via party bus to Harriet Island and the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul for photos. What a great day!

Meghan & Cory

I've known Meghan since one of the first days of college. We lived on the same dorm floor freshman and sophomore year and were roommates our junior year. As any of our other college friends would probably admit, we all spent plenty of time imagining the guys we would each end up with...and...maybe a little too much time scheming about how to make our moves. Meghan and Cory's wedding marks the last wedding of the Magnificent Seven, a group of seven of my good friends from college (we named ourselves...cute, huh?).

Meghan and Cory live in Hawaii, so I was thrilled that their wedding was in Minnesota and even more thrilled that I got to be their photographer. They had a beautiful wedding at the Carlos Creek Winery in Alexandria, MN. It was a wee bit on the chilly side, but the winter weather made for beautiful surroundings and lovely outdoor lighting. It was fun to be a part of the day! Congrats Meghan and Cory!

Joa & Andrew

I am finally getting around to posting about Joa and Andrew's fantastic wedding. As you can see from the pictures there was still green grass and yellow leaves at the time of their wedding, but that's beside the point.

Joa and Andrew tied the knot on Joa's family farm in a teeny tiny Iowa town. It was beautiful. Joa and Andy's creativity and gave this wedding a very distinct style. I thoroughly enjoyed being a part of their day. Here's to the happy married couple!

Erin & Ryan

Erin and Ryan had a beautiful wedding at the Church of St. Mark in St. Paul and an elegant reception at the Graves 601 in downtown Minneapolis. I already knew from their engagement session that Erin and Ryan are a great couple. Let's face it, Ryan's last name and Erin's maiden name rhyme and that in and of itself is a sign that they were meant to be together, right?? I was glad to be a part of the big day! Congatulations again, you two!

Lana & Mark

Lana and Mark had a beautiful wedding day. We started with some shots at the Graves 601 in downtown Minneapolis...what a cool location. Their ceremony took place at the Como Park Conservatory, one of my personal favorite spots of a wedding.

Lana and Mark are great couple and quite possibly two of the nicest people I have met! I think Lana must have asked me at least a half a dozen times how I was doing and if I needed anything. They were a pleasure to work for.

Congrats on a perfect wedding day and a great start to married life!

Whitney & Paul

My husband and I traveled to Sioux Falls, SD for Whitney and Paul's wedding at the end of July. Paul and I were in the same choir at Concordia several years ago, so it was good to catch up with him again and see him all grown up and married. Whitney is absolutely lovely - it was a pleasure to get to know her as well. Together, they make a dynamic couple.

They had a beautiful wedding with a fun reception at the Museum of Visual Materials in downtown, Sioux Falls. My favorite part of the reception? The dessert buffet. Could it get any better than that??

It was fun to be a part of the day!

Heather & Steve's Wedding

Heather, one of my very best friends, got married about a month ago. I swapped my camera for a bridesmaid dress for most of the day, but I was able to take just a handful of pictures in the morning while we were all getting ready. Heather's real photographers, Kim and Chris Moravec, did a fabulous job capturing the rest of the day. It was fun to get to know this energetic pair of photographers!

Heather and Steve had a beautiful wedding. It was truly and honor to be a part of the day!

Kasandra & Charles

One of my very favorite kinds of weddings are the ones that take place at the bride or groom's home. Charles and Kasandra's wedding was a lovely example of this! Kasandra's parents live in a beautiful area very close to the St. Croix River. They had a bright and sunny day for their wedding with plenty of warmth. It was great...I'm glad I got to be a part of the festivities.

I didn't know Kasandra and Charles before their wedding day, but they are a great couple. I had a blast getting to know them and the rest of their family and friends. I even found a couple of Cobber connections in the mix!

Congrats Kasi and Charles!

Kristen and Chris got married not too long after Heather and Aaron from a few posts back. In fact, Heather and Kristen and good friends from high school, so I got to see quite a few of the same people at this wedding in Hollandale. I'm fairly certain that the leaves were at their peak this weekend as the colors were absolutely beautiful. Kristen and Chris couldn't have asked for a more perfect day. Congratulations once again!
